Dr. Beasley was honored in 2003 “FOR OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP IN PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPIRITUAL WELLNESS” by the Contact Crisis Helpline at their annual Festival of Hope. The Festival of Hope seeks to raise awareness and support for HeartLine’s [formerly Contact Crisis Helpline] vital programs. Celebrating the power of hope, the event is timed to take place just before National Suicide Prevention Week. A dinner and auction honors community leaders who make significant contributions to improved quality of life through their community service or volunteerism.

This year, on the 10th anniversary of the Festival of Hope, past honorees, including Dr. Beasley,  will again be recognized and honored for their contributions to the field of mental health.
